As it has been explained in the pages related to the history of the make, the type and the purity of the materials and their associations for sound neutrality has been the second point of research of Jean-Marie Fusilier. Indeed his main activities were in high frequency electronics, in which field engineers pay great attention to materials and shields for proper signal propagation and signal integrity. The CM4 is the result of years of development, formerly in cooperation with specialists in vinyl playback in Europe. The CM4 cable was then presented along with the HQS power amplifiers and was systematically chosen by the discerning studio professionals and music lovers in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Excellent products stand the test of time.

The manufacturing of the CM4 cable draws upon exceptional tooling and materials. The conductors are made of extremely pure long crystals. The construction is totally symmetrical as always with JMF Audio’s designs. The whole cable assembly requires very precise conductors and shield placement for optimal sound result. By design, the CM4 cable preserves signal integrity, is virtually immune to microphonic effect (vibrations) and electromagnetic interferences that are both responsible for sound blurring.

The CM4 cable is distinguished by a soft natural, faithful and homogeneous sound, timbres rightness and an exceptional coherent deep and wide three-dimensional soundstage. Instruments of an orchestra are at the right place and sound natural.

The CM4 cable has linked audio devices in different setups with excellent results. It also creates a matched link between JMF Audio elements (DXC2.2 converters, PRS1.5 preamplifier, HQS power amplifiers). The philosophy is preserved, especially with the latest cable version.

We can manufacture single ended (RCA connectors) versions on demand, which starting from revision E, take full advantage of the symmetrical design of the cable.

The CM8 is based on the CM4 and features advanced mechanical damping and shielding for superior immunity to noise, electromagnetic interferences, and vibrations. As a result, the CM8 has a greater diameter and a different finish. The manufacturing of the CM8 is a longer process.

Since 2015, CM4 version D and CM8 version B, each individual cable has been identified with a serial number with the corresponding manufacturing and measurement notes stored in JMF Audio’s files. Before delivery every cable has passed through a break-in period and listening tests in our studios for verification compared to our references.
